KFM

KFM offers a reliability, quality, price combination that is virtually unbeatable. Founded in 1916, KFM has 70 years experience as a manufacturer of pressure gauges with unmatched reliability and high quality, at low cost. Their reliability has been based upon their dedication to produce a limited line of gauges - general purpose and welding - and to produce them to the highest manufacturing standards. These concentrated efforts have also achieved significant production economies that are passed along to you in the form of extremely attractive prices.

To fulfill a wide assortment of applications, KFM offers a large selection of options like case constructions, process connections, dials, pointers, and lenses. The KFM accuracy levels of 1.6% and 2.5% of span meet most common requirements set for general purpose gauges.

Many Free Options
KFM offers more, or at least as many, free options as any other manufacturer. Just look at all you get from this extensive list:
  1. Various process connections: NPT, metric, PSTP, cylindrical thread or any other in all dimensions. Can be brass as well as stainless steel, and
  2. Restrictor screws for all types of connections, and
  3. PSI only dial (dual scale is standard), and
  4. Metric only dial, and
  5. Special custom-made dials.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS (extra cost)
Tropical version, flanged casing, auxiliary hands, electric contacts.

General Purpose Gauges

For industrial installations where it is appropriate to use the Bourdon-tube gauge. Designed for the highest reliability and long service life, at low cost.
This type of gauge is ideal for continuous service on applications like compressors, pumps, regulators, pipelines, storage tanks, and plumbing equipment as well as for replacements on most commercial and industrial equipment, and where the medium will not deteriorate copper alloys.
In most cases, the gauges are installed free-standing, directly connected to the pressure pipe or vessel. For panel use, back flanged models of 4" and 6-1/2" gauges are also available. KFM gauges will perform to the highest reliability and quality standards for you.

Specifications and Features

Accuracy:
2.5% of span for 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3", 4".
1.6% of span for 4" and 6-1/2".
Sizes:
1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3", 4", 6-1/2".
Cases:
Steel, aluminum, and plastic
All finished in black enamel.
All high pressure gauges are safecase type. This design places a thick steel plate between the operator and a possible blast. Full protection is obtained by directing the possible blast through the back wall of the gauge away from the operator, thus giving the operator 100% security.
Connections:
All connections are made of brass and are male NPT and may be located at the bottom, back or 3 o'clock position of the case. NPT is the most popular thread and is available in 1/2", 1/4" and 1/8". Cylindrical connection is also available as a free option.
Bourdon Tube Assembly:
KFM's specialized manufacturing expertise has developed a "C" type Bourdon tube that is among the longest in the industry. This extra length provides a thicker wall for more pressure resistance with little effect on flexibility. The tube material is bronze. This is another example of the KFM built-in unmatched reliability and high quality to give you more strength and accuracy in a superior-designed pressure gauge.
Dials:
The simple English scale, give in pounds per square inch (psi), is located on the outer arc and printed in black. The dual English/metric dials are now being offered to meet the changing needs of the industry. The metric scale, give in kPa, is located on the inner arc and printed in red. A very precise gear mechanism assures precise pointer indication. May be rivet set for high vibration areas or screw set for easy disassembly. KFM recommends the rivet set since their gauges are so reliable that repairs are not necessary. As a free option, we grant a one to one replacement if necessary.
Lenses:
Gauges are supplied with either plastic press-fit front or glass front with holding ring as free options. If job conditions require lens cleaning, we recommend glass as a common preference.
