Regenerative Air Dryers

  bullet

Series RH Regenerative Heatless Air Dryer

Series RH is a twin tower regenerative air dryer. They are the dryers of choice when traditional refrigerated dryers do not provide sufficient air quality required for today's applications. Arrow's reliable "RH" series of heatless twin tower regenerative dryers normally produce -40°F and can optionally be as low as -100°F dew points. The dryer utilizes activated alumina for efficient drying of compressed air and will operate under extreme environmental conditions. Activated alumina is aluminum oxide that is highly porous and exhibits tremendous surface area (350 sq. meters/gram). Activated alumina is resistant to thermal shock and abrasion. It has a smooth, uniform ball size that prevents channeling of the air flow, which maintains low bed velocities. This maintains air contact time for efficient moisture removal and minimal pressure drop.
Arrow's microprocessor dryer controls are housed in a NEMA 4 rated enclosure and provide control of pneumatically pilot valves chosen for long life and high air flow.

Standard design conditions are 100°F inlet, 100 psig and 100°F ambient. The "RH" series has a capacity from 35 to 3000 CFM at 100 psig. Maximum standard operating pressure is 150 psig. Standard voltage is 120 VAC, single phase, 60Hz. In/out connections range from 3/4" NPT to 4" flange. Pre and after filters must be used with all regenerative air dryers. There are a number of panel and electrical options available.

Series RE Externally Heated Regenerative Air Dryer

Series RE is an externally heated twin tower regenerative air dryer. They combine the high reliability of Arrow's "RH" series desiccant dryer and add external heaters to for the "RE" series dryer. Dew points, normally -40°F, can be optionally as low as -100°F. Purge air is approximately 7% of rated flow, thus reducing the operating costs of the heated twin tower regenerative dryers compared to heatless regenerative dryers. Purge air in the "RE" series is heated by a 100% efficient incoloy sheath electric heater housed in an externally mounted shell. A thermostat controls the temperature of the heater allowing long life and energy savings. The heater and purge piping are insulated for safety and further energy savings. Arrow "RE" series heated dryers have microprocessor controls housed in a NEMA 4 rated enclosure. Pneumatically actuated valves have been chosen for long life and high air flow.

Standard design conditions are 100°F inlet, 100 psig and 100°F ambient. The "RE" series has a capacity from 50 to 3000 CFM at 100 psig. Maximum standard operating pressure is 150 psig. Standard voltage is 120 VAC, single phase, 60Hz. In/out connections range from 3/4" NPT to 4" flange. Pre and after filters must be used with all regenerative air dryers. There are a number of panel and electrical options available.

Series BP Blower Purge Regenerative Air Dryer

Series BP are more economical to operate than heated or heatless regenerative dryers. An external blower supplies heated atmospheric air as the purge air source for regeneration. This allows total air compressor capacity for plant operations. Eliminating the use of compressed air as purge allows the plant to more economically size the compressor only for plant operations. The blower purge offers the same easy maintenance features found in our heated regenerative dryer. The blower is designed for industrial applications and has an intake filter that protects the blower and dryer from damaging air born particles.

Standard design conditions are 100°F inlet, 100 psig and 100°F ambient. The "BP" series has a capacity from 35 to 2100 CFM at 100 psig. Maximum standard operating pressure is 150 psig. Standard voltage is 480 VAC, three phase, 60Hz. In/out connections range from 1-1/2" NPT to 10" flange. Pre and after filters must be used with all regenerative air dryers. Consult factory or our sales department for proper filters. There are a number of panel and electrical options available.

Desiccant Air Dryers

  bullet

Series D Desiccant Air Dryers

Series D are in-line desiccant dryers which should have a F3 prefilter and a F5 coalescing filter up line for extended life and protection of the desiccant and equipment being serviced. The compressed air is dispersed into the dryer through a 70 micron polypropylene element for the removal of particles. The air is uniformly dispersed through the full desiccant bed by an intake tube protected by a 40 micron porous bronze element at the end. As the desiccant adsorbs moisture, a dramatic and highly visible color change from dark blue to light pink is evident. The color change works its way through the desiccant as the adsorptive qualities of the desiccant are diminished. Once the color change is visible through the exclusive sight dome, the full desiccant bed has reached its maximum drying capacity and must be either changed or regenerated. Dry air exits through the inside diameter of the intake tube and out the outlet port of the unit. Maximum flow capabilities range from 5 to 50 SCFM. Maximum pressure is 250 psig.

Series DFD Mini In-Line Desiccant Dryer

Series DFD is used at the point-of-use. This patented, disposable, mini in-line desiccant dryer removes all traces of water vapor, oil vapor and dirt. It is often used directly upstream of blow guns or spray guns as final protection for critical parts blow off and paint spraying. Install in either direction; it functions in both directions. A 40 micron, porous bronze element removes fine dirt particles, and oil removing media removes oil vapor, and desiccant beads adsorb water vapor. The see-through housing shows desiccant color change, which indicated that the dryer needs to be replaces. The housing is polycarbonate material which allows clear desiccant visibility. A transparent nylon guard shows color change when the dryer needs replacement. Maximum pressure is 125 psi. Maximum temperature is 130°F.

Series VC StageAir Desiccant Air Dryer Systems

Series VC is a four stage air drying system. Stage 1 is a particulate filter with a 5 micron cleanable sintered bronze element. This stage removes corrosive moisture, pipe scale, dirt and rust from the air line. Stage 2 is a precision regulator to reduce primary pressure to a desired pressure setting. Stage 3 is a coalescing filter which removes 99.99% of oil aerosols and microscopic particles down to .01 micron absolute. Stage 4 is the desiccant air dryer. Air entering is dispersed through a 70 micron element to evenly distribute it through the desiccant bed. The desiccant absorbs the water vapor from the air, producing a -40°F pressure dew point. The air is passed through a 40 micron filter element to remove traces of desiccant dust before the air leaves the dryer system. Options include a 3 micron particulate filter, a float drain and an overnight drain. Maximum air flow is from 5 to 50 SCFM. An OSHA approved lockout valve is supplied with the system.
